Stamping Die Maintenance Specialist
Location: Spartanburg, SC
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shift
Hours: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM
About the opportunity: HTI is hiring on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client in Spartanburg, SC. You’ll be the craftsperson who keeps high-volume stamping operations running by preparing, repairing, and perfecting tooling for production.
A night in the role
It’s 6:45 PM and the floor is coming alive. You start with a quick check of the tooling cart, reviewing die condition reports from the prior shift. A press team flags a progressive die that’s pulling burrs—within minutes, you’re diagnosing clearances, making a precise adjustment, and laying a clean weld bead where needed. You verify hits, partner with the press operator to confirm part quality, and move on to the next call to keep downtime to a minimum.
What you’ll do
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot stamping dies to keep lines production-ready
- Perform accurate adjustments and modifications to dies and tooling
- Partner closely with press operators and production teams to reduce downtime
- Execute welding repairs on tooling as required
- Support efficient stamping operations across shifts with hands-on problem solving
What you bring
- Proven experience as a Tool & Die Maker
- Background in stamping or automotive manufacturing preferred
- Hands-on experience with stamping presses
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve tooling issues
- Welding experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- High school diploma required; technical training preferred

Compensation & benefits
- Competitive pay: $37+ per hour based on experience
- $0.30/hour shift differential
