    Powerline Staking Consultant

    Mountain Plains, LLC is seeking a driven team member to provide electrical consulting services to our valued customers. This role integrates technical skills with a combination of office and field time.     Responsibilities:
    o Ability to learn electric distribution systems and construction design
    o Route and srvey overhead and underground distribution electric lines and process service upgrades
    o Have general understanding of distribution systems, their components and NESC
    o Ability to read maps and construction drawings
    o Develop distribution design packet to be submitted to electrical cooperative for construction
    o Prepare utility crossing and encroachment permits
    o Communicate with clients, landowners and government agencies
    o Complete projects within provided timelines
    o Utilize survey grade Trimble GPS to gather new field data and stake out existing field data
    o Utilize TBC, NISC iVUE, Excel, Partner and other client specific software
    o Operate a company-provided vehicle with trailer & UTV
    o Follow proper processes and procedures to ensure safe work habits

    Qualifications:
    o Proficient computer and technical skills
    o Keen analytical & critical thinking skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
    o Detail focused, problem solving perspective with ability to adapt to changing customer priorities
    o Ability to work in a professional office setting as well as outdoors in adverse weather conditions
    o Physical fitness required to travers 2-5 miles in one day on foot across adverse terrain
    o Must pass pre-hire, post-accident and random drug/alcohol screening & hold valid driver’s license
    o A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record are required for this position
