Stainless Steel TIG Welder - Steady 2nd Shift Pay

OneSource Staffing is hiring in New Columbia, PA - offering a solid team, steady 2nd-shift work, and pay starting at $19/hour or more.

Position Details:

• 2nd  Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm
• Starting Pay: $19.00 to $22.00 per hour
• Overtime as needed to meet production deadlines

Preferred Experience:

• You must be experienced in welding Stainless Steel Sheet (you will be tested at Interview).
• Weld together metal frames and sheet metal components for ovens and environmental test chambers with electric arc-welding (TIG and MIG) equipment.

Key Job Duties: TIG Welder

• Select and prepare electrodes for welding operations, including loading electrodes into portable holders or threading consumable wire through welding guns.
• Connect welding unit cables and set amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse according to specifications provided by Welding Engineers or Technicians; initiated power supply to generate required current.
• Strike and maintain welding arc to melt and deposit metal, ensuring proper fusion and joint integrity.
• Guide electrode or welding gun along weld lines with consistent arc length and travel speed, monitoring metal color, weld sound, and molten puddle to achieve required bead size and penetration.
• Perform welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions; inspected completed welds for bead quality and adherence to specifications; applied filler rod when required.
• Clean, degrease, and prepare work pieces; repair cracked or damaged parts by grooving, scarfing, and refilling.
• Remove excess weld, slag, and spatter to ensure clean and accurate finishes.
• Preheat work pieces using hand torches or furnaces; position, clamp, and assemble components using jigs or fixtures; perform tack welding to secure assemblies.

Education/Experience:

• Two year welding certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Use math skills for measuring and converting units. Accurately measure with tape measure and square (to 1/32”)
