    QUALIFICATIONS:Certificated StaffDESCRIPTION:-The artistic leader of the production, responsible for guiding the creative team and actors to create a cohesive and engaging

    theatrical experience for the audience

    • Interpreting the Script: Analyze the text, identify themes, and develop a cohesive artistic vision for the production.
    • Casting: Conduct auditions and select actors to fill the various roles in the play.
    • Rehearsals: Lead rehearsals, providing guidance and direction to actors, helping them develop their characters and

    performances. This includes giving notes to cast and crew

    • Collaborating with Designers: Work closely with designers (set, costume, lighting, sound, prop) to ensure that all design

    elements align with the vision and enhance the overall production.

    • Coordinating Technical Elements: Collaborate with the technical director, stage manager, and crew to integrate stagecraft,

    lighting, sound, and other technical aspects of the production.

    • Ensuring Cohesion: Oversee all aspects of the production, ensuring that all creative elements work together to create a

    unified and compelling performance.

    • Managing Conflicts and Problems: Resolve conflicts, address problems that arise during rehearsals, and make adjustments

    to the production as needed.

    • Maintaining the Budget: Be involved in managing the budget for the production.
    • General Schedule Commitment Needs: Attend/run/prepare materials for auditions and callbacks; Plan, attend & run blocking
