Staff Systems Engineer, UAV

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or related field; Master's degree with 5+ years of experience preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments.
• Experience with Aircraft or UAV development programs as a Systems Engineer.
• Familiarity with one or more Government Reference Architectures such as AMS GRA, A-GRA, or OMS/UCI.
• Basic understanding of modular open systems approaches (MOSA) in defense systems.
• Knowledge of systems engineering tools and standards like DOORS, SysML, MBSE.
• Experience in creating and validating environmental requirements (temperature, vibration, altitude).
• Knowledge of military environmental testing standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461).

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of systems requirements and architecture in accordance with government open and common architecture standards.
• Translate mission needs and technical objectives into clear, actionable system requirements.
• Manage system interfaces and requirements from concept through integration and flight testing.
• Coordinate and execute system validation activities including environmental testing to ensure mission readiness.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless system development, safety, performance, and reliability.
