    Job Overview

    The Product Engineer for Passive Crystals & Active Oscillators is responsible for the technical management, development, qualification, and lifecycle support of quartz crystal and frequency control products. The role bridges engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, sales, marketing, quality, and customers to ensure products meet market requirements, achieve high reliability, and remain competitive throughout their lifecycle.

    The engineer serves as the technical expert for crystal resonators, oscillators, TCXOs, VCXOs, OCXOs, and related frequency control devices, supporting product development from concept through production and end-of-life.

    Job Requirements

    Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Product Development & Technical support

    • Develop and manage quartz crystal and oscillator product portfolios.
    • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities.
    • Define product specifications and technical requirements.
    • Evaluate new technologies and manufacturing processes.
    • Participate in product roadmap planning.
    • Work with R&D teams to improve product performance.
    • Support prototype development and design validation.
    • Review customer requirements and convert them into engineering specifications.
    • Provide technical support to Sales, Marketing, and customers.
    • Resolve product application issues.
    • Review customer schematics involving oscillator circuits.
    • Recommend suitable crystal and oscillator solutions.
    • Support design-in activities with key customers.
    • Conduct customer technical presentations and training.

    Technical Documentation

    • Develop, revise, and maintain documentation such as product datasheets, engineering change documentation, and product specifications.
    • Convert engineering inputs, drawings, and system data into structured, audience appropriate documents.
    • Ensure documentation aligns with Industry standards, formatting requirements, and regulatory expectations.
    • Participate in project team meetings to understand new features, product updates, and process changes.

    What your background should look like

    • Masters/ bachelor's degree in electronics engineering or Masters / bachelor's in physics or Masters in Material Science, or equivalent.
    • Experience with quartz crystal or oscillator products preferred.
    • Knowledge of Crystal and Oscillator manufacturing and qualification processes.
    • Product management experience
