Position Summary
Provides psychiatric care for patients within Mental Health Services through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Treatment Team.
Position Qualifications
Experience
- Clinical experience in hospital and community psychiatry in residency program required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in hospital and community psychiatry is preferred
- Ability to address clinical problems by analyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting information through the use of creative and critical thinking skills while maintaining the human dignity in those we serve
Education
- Graduate of an approved medical school and completion of residency training in Psychiatry
- Completion of residency training in psychiatry and board eligible
Required Certification/Licensure
- MD or DO licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners (OBME) and board certification/eligibility in Psychiatry
- BLS: Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
- Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges this includes but is not limited to, holding position-specific certifications/memberships as determined by Asante Medical Staff team
- Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs
- Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage
