    Description

Verily is seeking a visionary, technically fluent Staff Product Manager to lead AI product strategy and execution across our Care Solutions portfolio. Reporting to the VP of Product, Care Solutions, this individual contributor will define how AI transforms care delivery across patient and provider experiences—from helping people understand and manage their health to enabling proactive, personalized, and scalable models of care in which AI can deliver appropriate support directly and involve clinicians when their expertise is needed.

This leader will own the product vision and roadmap for AI-powered care experiences, as well as assisting in the shared AI harness that enables teams to build, evaluate, deploy, monitor, and continuously improve them safely at scale. They will identify high-value opportunities across the portfolio, turn emerging AI capabilities into trusted healthcare products, and establish reusable foundations that accelerate innovation. A central part of the role will be democratizing AI development—equipping product teams with the tools, patterns, expertise, and guidance to create and own AI capabilities within their respective products.

This is a rare opportunity to shape how AI is applied across the care journey and to build capabilities that are core to Verily’s future. The ideal candidate combines deep product judgment, technical fluency in modern AI, healthcare experience, and a demonstrated ability to lead ambitious cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.

    Responsibilities

    • Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI across Care Solutions, spanning patient-facing experiences, provider-facing care delivery, and shared platform capabilities.
    • Identify and prioritize high-value AI opportunities with commercial and product leaders, translating advances in generative AI, agentic systems, multimodal models, and healthcare data into differentiated care experiences.
    • Establish and operationalize the care AI harness by partnering with central platform teams to shape shared tools, infrastructure, evaluation frameworks, and governance.
    • Equip product teams with reusable capabilities, standards, expertise, and guidance to build, deploy, monitor, and improve AI within their products safely at scale.
    • Lead cross-functional development of care-specific AI products and agents with Engineering, AI/ML, Clinical, UX, Privacy, Security, Quality, and Regulatory partners.
    • Define success measures, human-oversight requirements, and regulatory pathways—including for capabilities that may qualify as Software as a Medical Device—from initial concept through commercialization.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 6+ years of product management experience, including ownership of AI-powered products, platforms, or developer capabilities from strategy through scaled adoption.
    • Strong product judgment and a track record of translating emerging technology into products that solve meaningful user problems.
    • Experience leading complex initiatives across Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science, Design, and business stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with modern AI technologies, evaluation approaches, and responsible AI practices.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience taking zero-to-one products through scaled adoption.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience building patient- or provider-facing healthcare products.
    • Experience creating shared platforms or tools that enable other product teams.
    • Experience working in regulated or safety-critical environments.
    • Exposure to FDA-regulated Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), clinical validation, or regulatory submission pathways.
