Duties:               The Staff Physician, Transplant Hepatology provides specialized care in the diagnosis and management of patients with advanced liver disease, including those undergoing liver transplantation, through comprehensive clinical evaluation, interpretation of liver-related diagnostic tests, and integration of complex clinical data at the following Cleveland Clinic locations: Cleveland Clinic Main Campus (9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44195); North Ohio Gastroenterology (30701 Clemens Road, Westlake, Ohio 44145); Consultants in Gastroenterology (3700 Park East Drive, Suite 100, Beachwood, Ohio 44122); Consultants in Gastroenterology (7530 Fredle Drive, Concord Township, Ohio 44077); Summit Gastroenterology (3939 Cleveland Massillon Road, Norton, Ohio 44203); Endoscopy Center (5319 Hoag Drive, Suite 120, Sheffield, Ohio 44035); Independence Family Health Center (5001 Rockside Road, Crown Center II, Independence, Ohio 44131); and Willoughby Hills Family Health Center, North Building (2550 SOM Center Road, Willoughby Hills, Ohio 44094). He or she is responsible for assessing transplant candidacy, managing pre- and post-transplant care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes; identifying the etiology, pathogenesis, and clinical significance of hepatobiliary disorders; documenting findings and treatment plans in detailed clinical reports; and communicating diagnostic and therapeutic recommendations to referring physicians. The scope of practice of this role includes serving Cleveland Clinics diverse patient population as well as national and international referrals for liver transplant evaluation and second opinions. Responsibilities of the Staff Physician, Transplant Hepatology also include training and guiding medical students, residents, and fellows and presenting and publishing novel findings and research in hepatology and transplantation. Weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities and periodic weekend hours as needed. Intermittent telecommuting permitted.

Requirements: At minimum, the position requires an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate; completion of a fellowship in Gastroenterology; completion of a fellowship in Transplant Hepatology; and eligibility for medical licensure in Ohio.

Salary:             Commensurate with qualifications and experience ($420,000-$555,750 per year)
