Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Staff Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our collaborative outpatient team. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide individualized treatment to patients with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, balance, post-surgical, and other functional conditions.

This position is a great opportunity for both experienced PTAs and new graduates looking to develop their clinical skills in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, stretching, strengthening, balance and gait training, manual techniques within PTA scope, and other appropriate interventions.
• Monitor patient response and progress and communicate findings with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and patient-centered clinical environment.
• Participate in team meetings, mentorship, continuing education, and professional development.
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, clinical excellence, and exceptional patient service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current New York State Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility for NYS licensure.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, team-oriented outpatient environment.
• Hardworking, dependable, motivated, and committed to professional growth.
• Strong interest in providing individualized, compassionate patient care.
• Previous outpatient experience preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Employment Details

Job Type: Full-time and/or Part-time opportunities available

Pay: Competitive, based on experience ($21-$25/hour)

Schedule: Monday-Friday
