Position Title: Staff Nurse, Ambulatory Shift:Day Shift 7:00am -5:30pm Status: Full-time Compensation: $35.00 - $50.00 The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles. Position Summary The Licensed Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Job Summary Provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.An Ambulatory SurgeryRegistered Nurse (Pre/Post RN) cares for patients immediately before and after surgical or procedural interventions. Pre-Operative Duties Patient Assessment: Review medical histories, conduct physical exams, verify NPO (nothing by mouth) status, and check vital signs. Preparation: Start IV lines, administer pre-op medications, and confirm that surgical consent forms and lab results are complete. Education: Inform patients and families about what to expect during and after the procedure, answering questions to reduce anxiety. Handoff: Communicate critical patient info (allergies, risk factors) to the surgical team before moving to the operating room. Post-Operative Duties Recovery Monitoring: Track vital signs, manage post-anesthesia recovery, and monitor for adverse reactions or complications. Pain Management: Administer prescribed pain and nausea medications and document recovery progress. Discharge Support: Provide post-procedure care instructions and ensure patients are stable and ready for discharge or transfer. Related Qualifications Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing Associates in nursing; Bachelors preferred.
