Staff Electrical Engineer – High Voltage Substation Design
Area: Multiple Markets (Atlanta / Ann Arbor / Chattanooga / Orlando / Raleigh / Portland / Boston / Irvine / Walnut Creek) — Hybrid 3 Days/Week
Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary:

• Serve as single-discipline technical lead on electrical substation projects up to 765kV
• Develop protection and control deliverables: protective relays, panel arrangements, one-line/three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, and relay panel wiring
• Develop physical design deliverables: yard layout plans, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, and auxiliary AC/DC power systems
• Perform and oversee quality review of electrical substation design packages
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications and Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Manage design budgets and schedules
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
• Present proposals, designs, and project updates
• Mentor junior team members and support business development/pursuit activities
