We're seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer with high voltage substation design experience to serve as a single-discipline lead on utility substation projects, supporting full lifecycle delivery from engineering through EPC on projects up to 765kV. This is an opportunity to work with a leading EPC firm on critical infrastructure projects for utility clients.

What You'll Do:
Serve as Technical Specialist or Project Lead on assigned substation projects
Develop protection and control design deliverables (protective relays, one-line/three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, relay panel wiring)
Develop physical design deliverables (yard layout, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements)
Perform quality review of substation design packages, prepare equipment specs and BOMs
Manage design budgets and schedules; coordinate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders
Mentor junior team members and support business development activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree + 5-7 years of experience in high voltage substation design
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Experience with BlueBeam
Background at an engineering consulting firm preferred
