Company
Davis Machine is an AS9100-certified precision machining company serving the aerospace industry from a 75,000 sq ft campus in Euless, Texas. The business is built on two complementary lines of work: high-volume, low-mix production of stainless steel, Inconel, and other hard-material components, and low-volume, high-mix machining of complex aluminum and titanium structural parts. Davis is affiliated with sister companies in surface finishing and engineering, giving customers a single group for machined, finished, and engineered components.

Position summary
The Staff Manufacturing Engineer is Davis Machine's technical representative to its aerospace customers and the point of contact for customer engineering matters. The position holds responsibility for nonconformance and deviation dispositions, drawing and model interpretation, flowdown compliance, and engineer-to-engineer communication with prime and tier-1 manufacturing and quality engineering. The Staff Engineer also conducts the engineering difficulty review on all new work prior to quotation. The position is designed so that CNC programmers remain dedicated to part processing; customer-facing engineering is the Staff Engineer's responsibility. Reports to the Engineering Manager.
