The Facilities team has an immediate opportunity for a Staff Facility Electrical Engineer to play an integral role in the growth and maintenance of our facility. Candidates should possess direct construction experience in building high‑tech infrastructure and operational facilities. This position is in Fremont, California.
- Perform facility‑wide electrical evaluations, energy audits, load studies, voltage‑sag and power‑quality analysis to drive reliability and efficiency improvements
- Lead commissioning, validation, and optimization of electrical infrastructure; execute efficiency initiatives that reduce plant energy consumption and cost
- Operate, program, maintain, and troubleshoot medium‑voltage equipment, protective relays, and critical power systems in an active manufacturing environment
- Develop electrical specifications; review design drawings; run bid events and evaluate quotes; support electrical cost estimating and value‑engineering decisions
- Coordinate field work and planned outages across maintenance, construction, and production to ensure safe execution and minimal operational impact
- Conduct construction site walks, issue technical comments, enforce design compliance, and update facility electrical standards (EPSS/MV/HV) aligned to NFPA requirements
- Improve asset reliability via root‑cause analysis; implement energy‑system monitoring; uphold OSHA/NFPA 70E electrical safety programs and best practices
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) with 8-10 years in high‑tech facility construction/manufacturing, or equivalent experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; able to serve as SME supporting electrical design, construction, commissioning, and facility operations
- Proven QA/QC and commissioning (Cx) experience for electrical installations; deep knowledge of NEC/NFPA/IEEE and facility safety compliance
- Proficient operating, programming, and troubleshooting medium‑voltage systems, protective relays, and substation/distribution equipment
- Advanced capability interpreting one‑lines/three‑lines/schematics; perform load flow, coordination, arc‑flash, and fault studies for safe, reliable operation
- Skilled with electrical analysis tools (e.g., SKM Power Tools) and able to conduct engineering economic evaluations for infrastructure decisions
- Strong communicator and leader, mentors' junior engineers, partners across disciplines, manages budgets, quotes, and contracts

Expected Compensation
$91,600 - $316,800/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
