Pay Range: $47 - $52/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:- Support the execution of electric utility projects involving overhead and underground distribution systems.
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, utility personnel, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Assist in developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Track project progress, deliverables, risks, and action items.
- Participate in client meetings and document key decisions and follow-up actions.
- Review engineering drawings, design packages, and technical documents for completeness and quality.
- Support construction activities by responding to field questions and assisting with issue resolution.
- Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and support project planning and design.
- Assist with permitting, environmental reviews, easement coordination, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Support development of cost estimates, material forecasts, and project reports.
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and construction teams to facilitate project implementation.
- Maintain project documentation and assist with status reporting and forecasting.
- Identify potential project risks and communicate concerns to project leadership.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:- Key Skills; Must have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from ABET Accredited program and min 3-5 years of experience supporting electric utility/T&D projects, distribution design is preferred.
- Candidate should have understanding about project management fundamentals.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2-4 years of engineering, utility, infrastructure, or consulting experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience supporting electric utility or power delivery projects.
- Familiarity with utility standards and construction practices.
- Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, SAP, or project scheduling software.
- Understanding of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
