Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement educational programs for nursing and support staff
• Coordinate and lead new employee orientation and onboarding
• Conduct competency evaluations and skills assessments
• Organize and facilitate ongoing in-service education
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
• Support infection prevention and quality assurance initiatives
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience
• Long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred
• Previous Staff Development, Nurse Educator, or leadership experience preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver educational programs
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
• Commitment to excellence in resident care and staff development
