Director of Nursing - CVICU

This is a 263-bed acute care hospital providing comprehensive services, including 24/7 emergency care, surgical services, robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology, and oncology. The Director of Nursing will oversee the overall clinical, administrative, and financial operations of assigned departments while supporting the hospital's mission and vision.

Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership, direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned nursing departments
• Oversee clinical, administrative, and financial operations to ensure quality and efficiency
• Monitor patient satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and quality outcomes
• Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement
• Mentor and develop nursing leaders and staff
• Build strong collaborative relationships with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, professional standards, and applicable laws
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional patient care

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program required
• Applicants without a BSN must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program with a scheduled completion date, in accordance with applicable requirements
• Current RN license or a license accepted by the New Mexico State Board of Nursing
• Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience
• At least 2-3 years of nursing management experience, depending on applicable position criteria
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 14 days of hire or transfer and before providing direct patient care

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in nursing or a related field
• Certification in a clinical specialty or nursing administration
