    We're seeking a Staff Attorney to join our team to provide legal assistance to all of Delta Dental of Wisconsin departments and subsidiaries on regulatory matters.

    This is a full-time hybrid position with a preference for candidates located in the Madison, WI area. The role includes regular in-office collaboration on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Remote work may be considered for qualified candidates residing elsewhere in Wisconsin.

    What you'll do as a Staff Attorney: 

    •  Assist in maintaining corporate compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy provisions and requirements and related contractual obligations and act as a resource to DDWI’s Privacy Officer
    • Collaborate with the Compliance Department and the Director, Legal to maintain corporate compliance with the insurance laws and regulations of Wisconsin
    • Take primary responsibility for researching and advising regarding applicable insurance and other regulations and guidance inside and outside of Wisconsin which are applicable to DDWI’s and its subsidiaries’ and affiliates’ businesses
    • Conduct legal research based on specific questions in order to provide accurate and timely advice relevant to department issues and concerns
    • Take primary responsibility for monitoring changing laws and codes, taking action to ensure that DDWI, its subsidiaries, and its affiliates are in compliance, and assist in coordinating company-wide legal initiatives as needed to operationalize changes to laws impacting DDWI
