    The department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is seeking to hire Staff Assistant I.

    HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Opening of the department reception area and clinic for student clinicians promptly at 8:00am Monday-Friday.

    • Greet and assist clients as needed within the clinic waiting area.

    • Answer phones in a timely, courteous manner.

    • Assist student clinicians with retrieving proper assessments for therapy/diagnostic clients.

    • Schedule clients for diagnostic/audiology services.

    • Complete correspondence and mailings to clients.

    • Update client file listings.

    • Assist with additional tasks (special projects) as needed.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High School Diploma and one year of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.

    Preferred Hiring Requirements:

    • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing administrative or front desk role

    • Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Strong interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to work with a diverse student population.

    • Good organizational skills, attention to detail; ability to multitask and prioritize.

    • Ability to create flyers using Canva or similar software.
