    FLSA Classification: Non-exempt, Full-time, 40 hours/week, 52 weeks per year

    Position Summary:

    The Center for Wholeness and Wellness Staff Assistant supports both Student Health Services and the Center for Counseling and maintains the clerical responsibilities for the operations of both, as a dynamic member of the team

    Nature of Duties & Responsibilities:

    In addition to reception duties in Student Health Services and The Center for Counseling:

    • Provides clerical and telephone support for the administrator and other office staff
    • Processing, maintaining and releasing medical records
    • Billing and general ledger
    • Scheduling student appointments
    • Assisting with student health insurance claims
    • Managing statistical databases for departmental and State reports
    • Handling routine interdepartmental and off-campus business matters
    • Updating departmental web pages
    • Create and maintain semester schedule for all counselors
    • Screens Health Services Required Admission Documents for completion and compliance
    • Supervising and managing the schedule and workload of the student worker
    • Perform clerical functions such as distribution of mail, photocopying, updating & maintaining forms, filing and ordering supplies
    • Other duties as assigned

    Experience and Training:

    Supervision Received:

    Specific instructions from supervisors and standardized procedures.

    Supervision of Others:

    Oversees student worker

    Education:

    High school education or equivalent with courses in business practices preferred.
