Staff Analyst

This person will support the Grants, Claims & Compliance Unit's Pre-Award Team by researching grant opportunities and assisting with grant application preparation to help secure funding for District projects. Directly related experience may substitute for the education requirement at the rate of 1.5 years of experience for one year of education, up to a maximum of two years.

Johnson Service Group is looking for a staff analyst for our client in San Jose. This person will support the Grants, Claims & Compliance Unit's Pre-Award Team by researching grant opportunities and assisting with grant application preparation to help secure funding for District projects.

Responsibilities:

• Research grant opportunities.
• Complete grant application forms.
• Write, edit, and proofread documents.
• Communicate with project teams.
• Coordinate with the GIS and Graphics Team.
• Update the Unit Manual.
• Maintain digital records and filing systems.
• Manage correspondence via Microsoft Teams and email.

Required Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience completing grant forms, including SF Family.
• Familiarity with technical documents and government policies.
• Experience with Excel and budget tracking.

Education & Experience

• Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or a related field.
• Three (3) years of experience performing administrative support and technical duties.
• Directly related experience may substitute for the education requirement at the rate of 1.5 years of experience for one year of education, up to a maximum of two years.

License

• Valid California Driver's License required.
