    Description

    Hours: 40hrs/week

    Mon-Thur 8am-6pm, Fri 8am-12pm or Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

    Job Reponsilibilities

    Works closely with government trade offices in order to maximize business opportunities, and participates at public relations activities

    Monitors and reports US political and economic issues (International trade, steel and other related manufacturing industries)

    Develops, revises and implements internal compliance policies and procedures, screening, training and audits pertaining to trade compliance issues

    Assists in managing the development and implementation of lobbying strategies including coordination with outside counsel, industry allies, legislators and regulators

    Assists in monitoring the companys priority government relations issues such as the U.S. Governments international trade policies and keep the management informed about major changes and their implications

    Assists in developing and managing strategy for expanding the companys corporate social responsibility activities

    Develops familiarity with steel market regulation; attends industry-related conferences, seminars and research analyst meetings to gather information

    Assists in planning and implementing events and other activities to support the companys government relations goals

    Performs other duties as assigned by management


    Qualifications

    Bachelors degree required

    3+ years of experience in government relations

    Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail with ability to multitask

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Excellent written communications and writing skills required

    Korean language skills are a plus
