Staff Accountant

On-site in Worthington, OH

The Interim HealthCare Regional Management Center (RMC) is offering an exciting opportunity to an energetic and talented Staff Accountant.  Interim HealthCare has been a leader in the home healthcare and hospice industry providing valued services spanning five states since the 1970’s.  Become a part of an excellent team who welcomes and appreciates individuals who want to be challenged and grow professionally.  The RMC office is located in Worthington and provides top-notch management and support to its multiple locations.  If you are a motivated Staff Accountant who enjoys a collaborative environment and continuous learning opportunities, please provide your qualifications. The Staff Accountant position is primarily responsible for the multi-state hospice and home healthcare
monthly and annual financial statement cycle. Reconciliations, analysis, and reporting are core Staff
Accountant functions supporting our Interim HealthCare operations.

As aStaff Accountant, you will: 

• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, financial statements, and general analysis.
• Provide clear and effective explanation to end user financial questions.
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasting and special projects.
• Prepare bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and coordinates acquisition documentation.

To qualify for a Staff Accountant with us:  

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• Minimum of two years of related experience.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
• Effective variance analysis. Ability to identify, research and communicate results.
• Strong organizational skills and recognition when priorities require adjustment.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills
• Proven ability to be proactive and seek learning opportunities.
• High integrity and strong core ethical foundation
• Excellent judgement and resourcefulness
• Solid understanding of proper accounting procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required with moderate to advanced Excel abilities.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
