Staff Accountant

Introduction

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Accounting Staff position. This position is a contract opportunity which is expected to be onsite in Winter Park, FL. This role is a contract for 4+ months that has a possibility of converting to direct after the contract period 

Summary

This is an accounting position who will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and driving accounting process improvements. 

Job Responsibilities:

· Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

· Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

· Manage general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

· Ensure compliance with tax regulations and support tax filings.

· Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.

· Collaborate with auditors during financial audits, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

· Support financial planning and strategic initiatives with data-driven insights.

· Stay up-to-date on accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory changes.

Qualified candidates would have the following:

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or any related field.

· Proficient in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in a manufacturing setting.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles.

· Familiarity in navigating accounting software.

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and computer skills

· Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members.

· ERP experience.
