Job Summary
This position is responsible for recording financial activity and preparing financial statements for the organization.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations in a timely manner based on established deadlines.
Investigate and resolve all discrepancies with appropriate personnel. Reconcile and report all unclaimed property for the organization, including any necessary research to file the report in a timely manner.
Maintain the capital budget database for the organization.
Establish and close projects in the project management system.
Work with managers regarding questions on projects and available funds from the capital budget.
Prepare capital acquisition reports for the capital planning committee and other ad-hoc reports as required by financial services.
Record all activity on a monthly basis and prepare financial statements for one or more entities. This includes reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts to budget.
Assist with special projects as needed, including but not limited to budget preparation, working directly with auditors, records retention, cash and credit card reconciliation, intercompany payments, equity entries, etc.
Exercise independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.
Collaborate with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face-to-face interaction. Work with other professionals and staff, frequently engaging with individuals at Director level or above.
Required Skills & Experience
Ability to develop and utilize PC-based spreadsheets and financial software.
Strong communication skills, especially with managers/directors.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Three to four years of related experience.
Experience in fixed asset accounting and healthcare.
