Oklahoma Chiller is looking for a hands-on Staff Accountant who can help keep the day-to-day financial operations of our growing company accurate, organized, and moving forward.

This is not a role for someone who only wants to analyze numbers from a distance. You'll be involved in the work. Billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, purchase orders, reconciliations, and close support are all part of the job.

But we're also not looking for someone who simply processes what's put in front of them.

We want someone who thinks.

Someone who catches discrepancies, investigates what happened, asks the right questions, understands the accounting behind the transaction, and looks for ways to make the process better.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Handle assigned day-to-day accounting activities including accounts receivable, invoicing, billing, collections, and cash receipts
• Reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices and independently investigate discrepancies
• Own assigned components of the month-end and year-end close process
• Research accounting discrepancies, identify root causes, and determine appropriate corrective actions
• Work directly with customers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve accounting issues
• Maintain accurate supporting documentation and accounting records
• Identify inefficient or unclear processes and recommend improvements
• Help develop and document accounting procedures
• Support the accounting team and broader business wherever needed

WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD

• 3-5  years of hands-on accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant accounting experience will be considered
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with AP, AR, billing, and reconciliations
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to investigate discrepancies rather than simply identify them
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to organize competing priorities and follow work through to completion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Sense of ownership and accountability
