- Base Salary: $56,513.60 annually, plus benefits (salary negotiable based on experience).
Position summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support financial reporting and accounting operations for a healthcare organization. This role is responsible for preparing financial statements, performing bank and general ledger reconciliations, maintaining capital project and fixed asset records, and supporting month-end close and audit activities. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems and accounting processes.
Key responsibilities- Prepare monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Record monthly financial activity and prepare financial statements.
- Maintain capital budget and project accounting records.
- Prepare capital acquisition and financial reports.
- Assist with month-end close, budgeting, audits, and account analysis.
- Support fixed asset accounting, cash and credit card reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and other accounting projects.
- Collaborate with managers, directors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications- 3-4 years of accounting experience.
- Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
- Experience with general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close.
- Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
- Healthcare and fixed asset accounting experience preferred.
