Staff AccountantLocation: TorranceSalary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 (depending on skills and experience)Work Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch break)Commute: Hybrid (Onsite 2 days a week. Temporarily 4 days a week during probational period)Our client, a mid-sized accounting firm offering a hybrid work environment and exposure to a wide range of accounting functions including bookkeeping, financial reporting, attestation, and tax.The role supports multiple client engagements simultaneously, making it ideal for candidates looking to develop well-rounded accounting skills in a client-facing environment. The firm emphasizes professional growth and offers potential visa support in accordance with internal policies.Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Daily Accounting OperationsPerform data entry, AR/AP processing (invoicing, payments, collections)Handle expense reimbursements, check runs, and journal entriesClosing & Financial ReportingSupport monthly and year-end closing (journal entries, bank reconciliations, subledgers)Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement) and client-specific reportsAssist in preparing reporting packages for headquartersClient & Audit SupportAssist clients with audit requests from external auditorsManage multiple client engagements and maintain communicationTax & CompliancePrepare and process miscellaneous tax filings (sales & use tax, property tax, informational returns)Support individual and corporate tax return preparationAttestation ServicesPerform financial statement reviews and compilationsQualificationsExperience in bookkeeping, accounting, attestation, or tax (corporate/individual)Public accounting experience (CPA firm or outsourcing firm) is a strong plusAccounting degree preferredCPA or Enrolled Agent certification is a strong plusStrong communication and project management skillsAbility to handle multiple clients simultaneouslyExperience with QuickBooks Online, Sage, or ERP systems preferredJapanese language skills are a plus but not required#J-18808-Ljbffr
