Staff Accountant

We are partnering with a well-established company seeking a Staff Accountant with strong financial accounting and reporting experience. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who has hands-on experience preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing the general ledger, completing month-end close, and providing accurate financial reporting to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to take ownership of key accounting and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements and financial reports

• Manage general ledger activities and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data

• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals

• Prepare and analyze account reconciliations and investigate variances

• Analyze financial results and provide insight into financial trends and discrepancies

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

• Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for management review

• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

• Assist with audits and other accounting and financial projects

• Help maintain strong accounting controls and accurate financial records

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience with strong financial reporting and analysis responsibilities

• Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements

• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience

• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles

• Strong experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis

• Advanced Excel skills

• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop or similar accounting software

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to analyze financial information and communicate findings effectively

Salary: $62,000–$75,000 per year DOE
