As we continue to acquire and expand, we are adding a Staff Accountant to support property-level accounting and reporting. This is an opportunity to learn real estate accounting inside a stable organization with active deal flow.

Job DetailsThis role supports the close for an assigned group of properties and maintains the underlying schedules and reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and accruals for assigned properties during the monthly close
- Reconcile cash, escrow, intercompany, and assigned balance sheet accounts
- Assist in preparing property-level financial statements and variance support
- Maintain fixed asset, depreciation, and capital expenditure schedules
- Process tenant billings, rent rolls, and accounts payable transactions
- Support CAM reconciliation preparation and lease-related schedules
- Assist with budget preparation, audit requests, and lender or investor reporting
- Maintain organized documentation and improve recurring close procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience
- Understanding of GAAP, journal entries, and account reconciliation
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience working in an accounting or property management system
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
