Job Store Staffing is hiring a Part-Time Staff Accountant for our client!
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working independently, staying organized, and supporting a fast-paced accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, advanced Excel skills, and experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00/hour
Schedule: Part-Time
Approximately 24 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close processes and prepare journal entries
- Maintain and update accounts receivable records
- Maintain and update accounts payable records
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
- Prepare monthly financial close workbooks
- Assist with audits and accounting documentation
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures
- Ensure accounting practices align with GAAP/IFRS standards
- Prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
- Complete additional accounting and clerical duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial practices
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
