Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close. Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, Daily Shipment Log, collections, payment processing, deposits, and downloading reports.

JSG is hiring a Staff Accountant in Orange, CA! This role is 100% onsite.

Pay rate: $25-$33

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close.

• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, Daily Shipment Log, collections, payment processing, deposits, and downloading reports.
• Maintain accurate and organized AR files and records.
• Enter all vendor bills and process approved material, labor, and other invoices for payment.
• Review invoices for proper documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Prepare and distribute checks, obtain required signatures, and match bills to checks.
• Monitor vendor accounts and regularly request and review vendor statements to ensure accounts are current.
• Maintain accurate and organized AP files and records.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
• Perform other accounting duties and projects as assigned.
• Previous accounts payable and accounts receivable experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
