Staff Accountant Job in La Mesa, CA

LHH is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant for our client in La Mesa, CA. The ideal candidate will possess a solid accounting foundation, proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks and Bill.com, and a strong attention to detail.

The anticipated salary for this role is between $65,000-$85,000 a year.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and process invoices in QuickBooks, ensuring a systematic and organized approach to billing procedures.
• Track inventory accurately for financial purposes, perform inventory reconciliation, resolve discrepancies with vendors, and ensure correct calculation of Cost of Goods Sold (CoGS).
• Ensure payments are applied to the correct Accounts Payable invoices, and deposits are accurately linked to the corresponding Accounts Receivable invoices.
• Oversee both virtual and physical cards, ensuring accurate reconciliation and proper documentation of all transactions.
• Manage the Bill.com platform to streamline and facilitate the accounts payable process.
• Oversee AP and AR functions, ensuring timely and accurate payment of bills and invoices while adhering to payment terms.
• Follow up on overdue accounts, notify the CEO of past-due customers, and manage the AR process.
• Work with other departments to verify and resolve cost-related discrepancies.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in inventory accounting.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Experience with QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software.
• Established understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• E-commerce industry experience is a plus.
• Capable of working within rapidly growing company
• Easily adapts to changes in financial processes or organizational needs.
