Work RequirementsUS Citizen or Authorized to Work in the USSkillset / Experience: AccountingStaff AccountantThe Staff Accountant will support the Controller and CFO with a variety of accounting, financial reporting, reconciliation, audit, and compliance responsibilities supporting the company and affiliated entities. This role will work within a fast-paced environment handling general accounting, HUD-related reporting, budgeting support, and financial analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, investments, and general ledger activitiesPerform monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accountsPrepare journal entries, account analyses, and supporting schedulesSupport monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesReview monthly management company and property financial reportsPerform budget variance analysis and assist with annual budgeting processesAssist with internal audits and monitor compliance with LIHTC/HUD regulationsCoordinate annual CPA audits and support tax return preparation activitiesMaintain and reconcile intercompany accounts and multiple fund ledgersProcess wires, transfers, automated payments, Section 8 loans, and related banking transactionsPrepare financial reports for internal leadership, funders, and external stakeholdersSupport grant accounting, modernization/development programs, and special projectsComplete monthly rent postings, utility allowances, and special governmental paymentsEnsure compliance with GAAP, GASB, company policies, and housing authority regulationsMaintain accurate accounting records and financial documentationPrepare statistical and narrative reports as requested by leadershipRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Math, or related field2-5 years of accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reportingExperience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closeAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredStrong knowledge of Microsoft WordExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsExperience supporting audits and compliance activities preferredHUD, housing authority, nonprofit, or property accounting experience is a plusEqual Employment OpportunityINSPYR Solutions provides Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
