Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established and highly respected private organization in Houston to identify a Staff Accountant, Operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine accounting expertise with operational finance responsibilities while working closely with an experienced leadership team.
What You'll Do
Manage and review transactions from initiation through approval and payment
Analyze and code invoices, ensuring accurate accounting treatment
Prepare journal entries for various operational and non-cash transactions
Assist with accounts payable workflows while maintaining strong accounting oversight
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain approvals and resolve discrepancies
Support banking-related activities and account administration
Partner with accounting and operational teams on process improvements
Participate in projects focused on workflow automation and technology enhancements
Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-touch environment
Communicate professionally with both internal and external stakeholders
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
2+ years of accounting experience
Experience in public accounting, professional services, professional services, or corporate accounting preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and journal entries
Experience with accounts payable processes and transaction workflows
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Preferred Backgrounds
