    Description

    Claiborne Senior Living is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. This role plays a critical part in supporting financial accuracy, operational reporting, and strategic decision-making across our growing senior living portfolio.

    This job is in-office, in our headquarters at Hattiesburg, MS.

    What You’ll Do

    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
    • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
    • Reconcile bank, credit card, and other financial accounts monthly
    • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
    • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
    • Participate in internal controls and audit preparation
    • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
    • Provide financial reporting and analysis to leadership as requested
    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company financial policies

     

    What We’re Looking For

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 2+ years of accounting experience
    • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
    • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Senior living, healthcare, or hospitality experience a plus
