Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for our client, a growing organization located in the Triad. The Staff Accountant will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and play a key part in maintaining financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and assisting with audits and budgeting activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, payment preparation, cash application, and collections.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account analysis.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by compiling and analyzing financial data.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure proper coding of transactions.
  • Compile documentation and assist with internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues and improve financial processes.
  • Maintain logs and records related to procurement, inventory, or other operational accounting functions as needed.
  • Provide support for special projects and perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience, including exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with month-end close processes and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with inventory accounting or procurement tracking.
  • Familiarity with audit preparation and support.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
