Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations for our client, a growing organization located in the Triad. The Staff Accountant will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and play a key part in maintaining financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and assisting with audits and budgeting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, payment preparation, cash application, and collections.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by compiling and analyzing financial data.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure proper coding of transactions.
- Compile documentation and assist with internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing issues and improve financial processes.
- Maintain logs and records related to procurement, inventory, or other operational accounting functions as needed.
- Provide support for special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, including exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with month-end close processes and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory accounting or procurement tracking.
- Familiarity with audit preparation and support.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
