We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team and help maintain the financial health of our growing company.

    Position Overview

    The Staff Accountantis responsible for supporting the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and maintaingeneral ledger entries and ensure accuracy in financial records.

    • Perform account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.

    • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.

    • Prepare and analyze financial statements to support decision-making.

    • Monitor and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions.

    • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

    • Support audit preparations by providing necessary documentation.

    • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    • 1-3 years of accounting experience (preferably in a corporate or construction-related environment).

    • Proficiency in accounting software (Great Plains, Dynamics 365, or similar ERP system preferred).

    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

    • High attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data.

    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

    • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
