Staff Accountant
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Compensation: $45,000- $55,000
Schedule: M-F | Full time

What You'll Do
Accounts Payable & Intercompany Transactions
- Manage incoming and outgoing intercompany invoices, with a volume of up to approximately 500 invoices per month
- Verify invoices and perform 3-way matching
- Process payments and ensure transactions are accurately recorded
- Handle transactions involving multiple currencies and understand how currency conversions impact entries
- Manage the AP inbox and respond to vendor inquiries
- Maintain accurate and timely intercompany accounting records
General Ledger & Month-End Close
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations
- Support the month-end close process
- Assist with maintaining accurate general ledger accounts
- Apply accounting principles and GAAP knowledge to daily accounting activities
Qualifications
Required:
- At least 1 year of accounting experience, including invoice entry and journal entries
- Basic understanding of foreign currency transactions and currency conversions
- Understanding of GAAP
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Experience working with balance sheets, income statements and general ledger accounts
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
