Staff Accountant

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to support a broad range of accounting and financial operations. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes. The role offers exposure to multiple areas of accounting, including transactional accounting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting, while providing opportunities to learn new systems and support process improvements.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

• Generate and process customer invoices while ensuring accurate recordkeeping.

• Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.

• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Support financial statement preparation and reporting activities.

• Monitor and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting.

• Assist with inventory accounting activities as needed.

• Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner.

• Support audit, tax, and compliance-related requests.

• Contribute to process improvements and accounting best practices.

• Assist with accounting system enhancements and ongoing optimization efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

• 2+ years of accounting experience.

• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.

• Inventory accounting experience is a plus.

• Experience working within a fast-paced business environment preferred.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Peachtree/Sage, or other accounting/ERP systems.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

• Comfortable learning new technologies and software platforms.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
