The ideal candidate is highly organized, accurate, and comfortable managing multiple financial priorities independently in a fast-paced, compliance-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with an external claims processor to support the accurate and timely payment of out-of-facility medical expenses.

  • Review corporate and clinical invoices, determine the appropriate processing method, and code expenses to the correct programs and accounts.

  • Reconcile monthly federal and state capitation payments against active member eligibility and enrollment records.

  • Partner with the enrollment team to research and resolve discrepancies between participant records and financial data.

  • Audit employee expense reports for compliance with company travel, entertainment, and reimbursement policies.

  • Prepare draft financial statements and supporting schedules for quarterly regulatory reporting.

  • Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, financial data entry, and month-end close activities.

  • Gather financial data and provide analytical support during the annual budgeting process.

  • Participate in monthly budget-to-actual reviews and investigate significant variances.

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready financial documentation.

  • Protect confidential financial, employee, and participant information.

  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or

  • At least two years of relevant corporate accounting experience.

Additional requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, invoice coding, and financial data entry.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

  • Availability to work 40 hours per week in a fully remote environment.

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime during month-end close or periods of increased volume.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous accounting experience within healthcare, medical claims, government-funded programs, or another regulated industry.

  • Familiarity with capitation payments, member eligibility reconciliation, or medical claims processing.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Experience using ERP or accounting software.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
