Position Overview:

MD&A is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team in Clifton Park, NY. This position will play a key role in supporting accounting operations, customer invoicing, collections, financial reporting, inventory activities, and month-end close processes while collaborating with finance and operations teams across multiple U.S. locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage customer invoicing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and support collections efforts.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams for invoicing, shipping, and order-related issues.
• Assist with monthly financial close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
• Assist with customer returns (RMA process) and related accounting activities.
• Participate in inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts.
• Review and process employee expense reports through SAP Concur.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement accounting efficiencies.
• Utilize ERP systems and technology tools to improve reporting accuracy and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, invoicing, or month-end close activities.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with ERP systems.

Preferred:

• Experience with Epicor/Kinetic, SAP, or similar ERP platforms.
• Power BI experience.
• Experience supporting inventory processes and cycle counts.
• Experience in multi-location business environments.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.
• Experience supporting audits and process improvement initiatives.
