Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• 
  
• Finalizing the general ledger for month-end close, overseeing the work of an Accounting Assistant
• 
  
• Creating and preparing financial statements based on trial balance
• 
  
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• 
  
• Bank reconciliations
• 
  
• Year-end audit preparations
• 
  

Background Expected of the Staff Accountant:

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or experience equivalent
• 
  
• 3+ years in a nonprofit accounting role or 2 years in public accounting
• 
  

Salary Range:
$65,000-80,000
