A well-known law firm is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant. This is a newly created position due to continued growth and expansion of the accounting team. This role was created following the promotion of a current Staff Accountant. Ideally looking for someone with 2-3+ years of experience with a background in accounting or finance within a professional environment. The Staff Accountant will support core accounting functions while working closely with a collaborative and growing accounting department of approximately 15-18 professionals. This role will report directly to the Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and distribute daily Key Metrics Reports
Prepare and record monthly journal entries
Prepare monthly financial statements
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate/resolution of discrepancies
Prepare and analyze various monthly account reconciliations
Verify and process Chrome River expense reimbursements
Initiate and record vendor and payroll-related ACH transactions
Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and assist with rush check processing as needed
Collaborate closely with internal accounting team members to support timely close processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
1-2 years of related accounting or finance experience
Working knowledge of general accounting principles
Prior experience with account reconciliations
Experience with Aderant and/or Chrome River strongly preferred
