Staff Accountant

Senior Accounting & Finance Specialist (Remote)

Position: 7-Month Contract | Fully Remote | $25-30/hr

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead comprehensive month-end closing procedures and financial reporting

- Manage revenue recognition processes and compliance with accounting standards

- Oversee operational expenses (OpEx) and accrual accounting

- Direct AR/AP operations and process improvements

- Develop and maintain management reporting packages

- Collaborate with FP&A team on financial planning and analysis

- Create and maintain accounting policies and procedures

- Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis

Qualifications:

- Must be a US Citizen living in the US

- 3+  years of progressive accounting and finance experience

- Expert knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles

- Proven experience with OpEx management and accrual accounting

- Strong background in AR/AP operations and process optimization

- Experience partnering with FP&A teams and creating management reports

- Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- CPA preferred
