Staff Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a stable organization in Alameda, CA to identify a Staff Accountant for an immediate temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong foundation in general accounting who is looking to join a collaborative team and grow within a stable organization.
Responsibilities
Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounts, and general ledger accounts
Prepare and post journal entries
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Analyze and resolve account discrepancies
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Support financial reporting and account analysis activities
Assist with audit preparation and requests
Monitor account balances and ensure timely reconciliations
Collaborate with internal departments to support accounting operations
Perform other general accounting duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
2+ years of Staff Accountant or related accounting experience
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
Experience supporting month-end close activities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with accounting or ERP software preferred
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
