We currently have six exciting opportunities available within our Accounting team: three Staff Accountant - Accounting Operations positions and three Staff Accountant - General Finance positions.

Each role offers an opportunity to contribute to our growing Accounting team while developing valuable accounting expertise.

• Staff Accountant, Accounting Operations: Focus primarily on reinsurance and cession accounting, supporting the accurate and timely processing and recording of related transactions.
• Staff Accountant, General Finance: Focus primarily on financial reporting, helping ensure accurate financial results and compliance with reporting requirements. These positions will also require some travel to support business needs.

In the Accounting Operations role, you will work alongside experienced accounting professionals, gain meaningful hands-on exposure to complex financial processes, and build specialized expertise in a highly analytical environment designed for growth.

Duties

As a Staff Accountant, Accounting Operations, you will play an important role in supporting accurate, timely financial operations. Responsibilities include:

• Prepare monthly premium and loss reports for assigned accounts.
• Perform account reconciliations and balance general ledger activity.
• Record and track reinsurance premium and loss transactions.
• Maintain accurate financial records and system data.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve discrepancies.
• Support financial reporting, documentation, and record retention.
• Assist with accounting projects and process improvement initiatives.

Experience

An Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and at least one year of accounting experience are required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Qualifications

• Professional office experience in accounting, finance, banking, insurance, operations, or a similar analytical environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with data and reports.
• A willingness to learn specialized accounting and reinsurance concepts.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Competitive Compensation & Financial Benefits

Starting salary: $57,525.00

We anticipate offering a starting salary of $57,525.00 to candidates who meet the qualifications for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and other relevant factors.
