Staff Accountant

I'm currently partnered with a multi-million-dollar manufacturing organization near Naperville, Illinois, that is looking to add a Staff Accountant to its growing team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, this role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional collaboration with C-suite executives. The Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the business unit, including month-end close activities, accounts receivable and accounts payable, cash flow monitoring, treasury-related functions, and financial reporting. This opportunity provides strong hands-on experience, high visibility within the organization, and the ability to take on increasing responsibilities as the company continues to grow. Job Description

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Support the Accounting Manager on day to day accounting functions.
• Support the month end process.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Review AR and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Review the balance sheet and P&L to ensure accounts are accurate and properly classified.
• Monitor cash flow and treasury needs to ensure sufficient cash is available.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with journal entries.
• Handle ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed.
• Provide general support across the accounting function.

The Successful Applicant

Staff Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or other accounting credentials are a plus
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience within a manufacturing environment is required
• Self-motivated and career-driven individual with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to work
