    Description

    Job Title: Surgical Technologist/CST

    Tasks and Responsibilities: As a Surgical Technologist/Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with SQ Med Staffing, you will play a vital role in assisting surgical teams and ensuring the smooth operation of operating rooms. Your primary responsibilities will include:

    • Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment.

    • Assisting surgical teams with gowning and gloving.

    • Setting up the operating room with sterile drapes and supplies.

    • Anticipating the surgeon's needs during procedures.

    • Maintaining a sterile field throughout surgeries.

    • Counting and documenting surgical instruments and supplies.

    • Transporting patients to and from the operating room.

    • Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.

    Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

    • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.

    • CST certification or eligibility for CST exam.

    • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

    • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    • Willingness to adhere to strict aseptic techniques.

    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move patients.

    Certification Requirements:

    Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred, but we may consider candidates who are eligible for the CST exam. BLS certification required at time of hire- NMHC Standard

    State License Requirements:
